Effie Kokrine Charter School -- in partnership with the Center for Native Education at Antioch University in Seattle, WA, the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, and the Interior Aleutians Campus -- is the only Early College high school in the state of Alaska.   Core academic and elective courses offered by Effie Kokrine Early College Program allow student to fulfill general education requirements for Associate and Bachelor degrees. This is a fantastic opportunity for students and their families who dream about the college opportunity, but who might have been limited in their financial means to attend a university, to enroll in university courses at no cost to their families.

EKCS allows students the chance to accelerate in their studies and to learn and grow personally, as well as academically. EKCS offers a unique program for students to learn in small class sizes and teaching through western and cultural knowledge to enhance a students a global perspective.  The program provides personalized academic and social support for all students throughout their high school experience.
